Your FX-57 would most probably bottleneck any modern card though, so in your case I would get a newer system now, then upgrade to a better video card later, or get one of the GTX 280's in a year or two when their price will have really dropped. Or when they shrink the die-size to 55nm to make it easier and cheaper to make the G200 cores.

Yeah, waiting a little seems like it would be smarter after looking at that LightScape video... If that can happen in the next two years that would be amazing. 280gtx would be a good holder card until that comes into play in real world applications.

The prices on both the 260's and 280's have dropped $100 everywhere.
