Question Convert VIDEO_TS (.vob) to jpeg

I need to convert family pictures from a vob file to jpeg so I can repurpose for printing pictures books and a digital frame. How can I do this?

First welcome to the site mate.

Second, you want to turn video in to pictures? You can just use the print screen button and paste it in paint. then save as a .jpeg

I tried doing that. Here is a summary of what I have done so far.

First, I tried taking screen captures when using both RealPlayer and Windows Media Player using HyperSnap and FullShot (Print Screen would not work). Each time I took a screen capture, the picture would not dispaly, i.e., I would get a black screen or a partial picture.

Second, I was able to use the Capture option in PowerDVD to get digital copies of the pictures but the quality is too low and unusable.

So I thought I would try to reverse engineer the slideshow. It looks as if I might have to convert it to a different video format and then try to get individual frames???

Its a bit of a backwards way of doing things but if you can play the file with VLC and you have FRAPS, then you can take screenshots of the video
